We develop in-house and work with a number of designers to create new materials which work with and not against the planet. Hemp Shiv Board utilising hemp shiv or hurd decorticated from the fibre blended with bio-waste resin is one our most sustainable products.
Hemp Shiv Board
Our boards are made from hemp shiv within bio-resin matrix . They can be used as a board for fabricating in the way you might use chipboard. Hemp represents a huge eco value over traditional materials such as plastic, with extremely high carbon sequestration. The high natural cellulose content (60- 70%) of the plant makes it a great partner to wood or even as an alternative. Our bio-resin replaces the harmful adhesives and binders found in chip board and OSB.

The boards can be used to form all forms of surface, shelving, doors, table tops etc. They are natural and like timber exposed to UV the colour will lighten over time.
*As with timber there is some water absorption if left untreated.
